What is visual communication?

Visual communication can be many things to many people. The way visual images and patterns we see are interpreted and analyzed by the brain is one major aspect of visual communication. The way your brain takes ocular refractions and turns them into objects and symbols is a key part of the communications process. Another is designing and creating these images and patterns in a way that is not only pleasing to the eye, but also solid and visually coherent. Simply put, to communicate to others in a manner that gets your message or idea across through the eyes and mind of your audience, rather than their ears.
